Armenia will build a new nuclear power plant together with the USA.
Armenia is discussing with the USA the possibility of constructing a new nuclear power plant. The project will replace the country’s only existing plant located in Metsamor.
Representatives of both countries are discussing the legal framework necessary to advance the construction. The USA expects that American technologies will make Armenia less dependent on Russian energy resources.
